Real Name: Otto Gunther Octavius

Eyes: Brown, nearsighted, but gets over that by using the tentacle's telescoping cameras to see. The images sent by the tentacles overlaps his normal vision, so it is not used often. The lab accident did some damage to his retinas, making him light-sensitive and forcing him to wear sunglasses or tinted goggles in normal and bright light levels.

Distinguishing Features: Four mechanical tentacles with AI. Flo is the upper-right, Mo the upper left, Harry lower left, and Larry (the spiked one) is on the lower-right. The actuators’ personalities have become more distinct over time, with Flow being the most distinctly feminine (likely because she is "closer to his heart"). The harness and tentacles cannot be removed after a laboratory accident fused them to his body. The damage done by the electrical surge has also left him with a permanent limp due to injury to spinal nerves. The tentacles have a slight obsession with the fusion reactor project they were built to help with.

Limitations: He doesn't have great flexibility because of the harness around his waist. He is a bit of an alcoholic because it tones the AI down to a more comfortable level, since their comments, bickering, hissing, and conversations give him headaches. He also has a habit of having Upper Left (Flo) hold his drinks or what he's currently smoking. To be fair, ‘she’ often takes these tasks upon ‘herself’.
Notes: Otto doesn’t start fights. No matter what he’s doing, be it breaking into a bank or protecting his fusion reactor, he doesn’t start the fight. He defends himself when guards start shooting or Spiderman starts pummeling him. At bottom, he wants to be left to his work, and will remove any obstacles in his path and go to all necessary lengths in order to do so. Not the sadistic sort. Otto is extremely pragmatic and much of his bad temper is the direct result of people seeing too much bad press of him.

Physical description: In physical appearance, Drake is subtly- but typically- Tau'ka. At first glance, she appears to be merely a very pale human, with fair skin and nearly white hair. However, high cheekbones, sharp features, and eyes that have a faceted, jewel-like appearance mark her as being at least part-Tau'ka. Her coloration is unusually pale for Tau’ka, which were based from darker human stock originally. She has broad shoulders and a strong, muscled build. There is a Y-shaped scar on the base of her right thumb and a rather large one on her lower abdomen. Drake favors cool, icy colors- grays, silvers, blues, and greens. She is very susceptible to feeling cold, so she favors sweaters or jackets, long pants, and boots.

Powers: Like all Tau'ka, Drake has strength, reflexes, senses, and endurance greatly superior to a normal human.. Her 'superpowers' are her accelerated healing ability (broken bones mend within minutes, and though she can recover from very serious injuries, her power is not *quite* as pronounced as, say, Wolverine's) and her Compathy, or ability to speak mind-to-mind with another person. With her Compathy, she can speak to a single targeted person up to three miles away, or project a 'wide band' call to anyone within up to a mile and a half. She has a slight degree of mechanical empathy from the human side of her family, which allows her to understand technology on an intuitive level. Her healing, while extremely powerful, is adversely affected by electrical shock.

Abilities: Drake is a formidable fighter in unarmed, firearm, and bladed combat. She favors wielding a pair of heavy, curved knives called kukris, or the claws built into her gloves. Outside of combat, she is an undercover Intelligence agent who uses the role of a very gifted mechanic as her cover. She likes building gadgets, and has an array, including a hoverboard, that she uses in her guise as the Silver Dragon. She is a good actress, and very good at repairing mechanical items. Her combat reflexes are highly honed, to the point where she tends to react somewhat violently if startled. Speaks English, a little French and Spanish (fluency roughly equivalent to a second-year high school class level) and Reshka.

Personality: Emotions are rarely subtle, though many of her more extreme mood swings are used to cover sensitive topics. She is sharp-tempered, proud, and all too willing to jump in to a situation. At bottom, though, she is utterly loyal to any she calls Packmate, or true friend. Those who betray her tend to wind up rather dead.

Main Enemies: The Reshka- a race of semi-parasitical, semi-vampiric aliens that feed off of the emotions of sentient creatures. They created the Tau'ka to serve as slaves, food sources, hosts, and soldiers.

Main Allies: The Tau'ka, a genetically engineered humanoid race created by the Reshka. They are designed to be superior to their human ancestors, with greater physical abilities, healing, senses, and immunity to diseases and most drugs or toxins. They have greater lifespans than humans- up to three hundred years for purebreds- and mature relatively slowly, not reaching adulthood until almost forty. All Tau'ka have supernatural powers- one is almost always Compathy or Empathy. Hybrids- those with human in their recent ancestry- have two powers, purebred Tau'ka three. The powers may be any of a tremendous array. They tend to keep to themselves, but are incredibly aggressive- predatory, in fact- when crossed. Tau'ka society is based on social groups called packs, as well as a deep sense of loyalty. Originally, they worshipped their Reshka creators as gods, but when they realized that their gods were nothing of the sort, they rebelled, freeing themselves from their slavery. They are a proud, oftentimes arrogant race, deadly in battle. However, they are incredibly loyal, and value children most highly. Those who cannot contribute to the next generation are viewed with a mixture of pity, disgust, and derision. They have a very high metabolism, which, among other things, results in a high natural body temperature ranging between 101F and 103F, so they feel very warm to any human that touches them. All Tau'ka have eyes with a faceted, jewel-like appearance, and the colors range along the entire spectrum.

History:

Half-human (Human mother, sired by a Tau’ka Special Agent on assignment, discovered early and brought to Verris, one of the Tau’ka Enclaves), Drake was unusually solitary for one of her kind. This, along with her heritage and unusually pale coloration, led to a certain amount of segregation from other Tau’ka. Being kept away from a Pack makes her slightly unstable, and rather clingy towards those who are friends.

However, said solitary preferences made Drake ideal for the Shadows, a branch of the Intelligence field made up of Agents who work for years in deep cover on their assigned world, gathering information and working all the while to prevent Reshka from gaining a foothold. The moment Drake reached thirty-eight years of age- the age of majority for half-breeds- she joined the Shadows for training and took her first mission at age 41.

On her second mission, she took a grievous injury to her lower abdomen. Because she was so young, her healing abilities were not fully developed, and the way that she healed resulted in permanent damage to her reproductive organs. Drake was left sterile, a status that distanced her even more from her people, who produce so few children that anyone incapable of doing so is considered to be of very little worth. Having lost the little support she still had, the pack-less Drake withdrew into herself. She was assigned to Earth as a Shadow roughly six months after she was injured, with her healing power developing to an ironically strong level that, had she taken a similar wound then, would have been healed perfectly within hours.

Her assigned territory was the Pacific Northwest, though she had more freedom than most Shadows to move about to where she was needed. She takes advantage of this when necessary, but prefers to remain around Seattle, where she occasionally makes appearences as a masked superheroine, the Silver Dragon. The Dragon work is mainly a cover for Reshka hunting, though she does genuinely put herself at risk for the safety of others. A silver and green flash in the sky over Seattle is a sign that the Silver Dragon is on her patrol.

Despite being so estranged, Drake identifies herself as a Tau’ka, not as a human, and does so with great pride.
